The morning started out casually; Kathy and the girls getting their hair & makeup sorted, with a few glasses of champagne in hand. Derek and the lads going down going for a refreshing dip in Guillamene Cove to cool off before being married in their local church - Our Lady’s Church, Carbally. When it came time for the portraits dark clouds threatened to move in and ruin the moment but prepared as ever, our merry band's umbrellas went up! Five minutes later they went back down and the sun lit up the clouds turning them into giant softboxes, perfect conditions for portraiture.
A fun session of crazy poses and then down to the cliffside for some romantic freelensed imagery of the bride and groom. Props were props are due, Kathy was dressed in a gorgeous Johanna Johnson dress that just oozed style but it wasn’t made for windy cliffside afternoons but the two of them stuck it out with no complaints. The final destination was The Strand Inn overlooking the beach in Dunmore East. After the speeches, Suzie Q took to the stage for Kathy & Derek’s first dance and took them the rest of the way into the night.
